Welcome

Therapy is an opportunity to get to know yourself better and decide if there are other choices and/or life paths available to you.  It is not an easy process, but many find that it is well worth the effort.

I am interested in helping you make the best use of this opportunity.  In terms of my background and training, I graduated with my Doctorate in Psychology from The George Washington University.  I started my career gaining experience working with college students at Georgetown University, SUNY-Stony Brook, and Pace University.  After completing post-doctoral work, I went back to The George Washington University's Psy.D. Program where I served as The GW Center Clinic Director, teaching and supervising doctoral students. I have published several scholarly articles and presented my work in various professional settings.

I have been in private practice for twenty years. I am a licensed psychologist in Maryland and the District of Columbia. I work with patients with a wide variety of challenges including eating disorders, mood disorders (depression and anxiety), relationship issues, parenting children with special needs, and loss. If you have more specific questions about me or my experience, please feel free to call 202-262-1483 or email drlhulier@gmail.com.

My office is located in The Highland House.

5480 Wisconsin Ave #204, Chevy Chase, Maryland. The office is about a 2 block walk from The Friendship Heights  Metro (red line).
